Just wanted to let you know
how wonderful...and powerful your show [Art
of Fact: The Human Remains] is.
Gary and I really were impressed. It really left an impression on us.
Very proud of you.

I went to the library
yesterday to see your exhibit. I thought your work was very well
displayed and the feelings from each piece would resonate with both
straight and gay people. I especially loved the photos in front, the
poetry on glass, and the doll with the personal ads written on him --
although I think I stood in front of the black lace widow effects the
longest. The one piece I didn't "get" was the one with a
pile of scissors next to cloth next to stones. If I see you next
week, please explain. I'm very glad I went -- thanks for the invitation.

... I
had a great time working with you, especially with helping on the
installation. There's nothing better than waking up at 6:30 in the
morning with nothing to do except install art. Beats work any day!
The exhibiton is spectacular and it warms me to know that many people
will be affected by it's powerful message upon first glance and for
years to come. The graceful and organic aesthetic of your work
juxtaposed with the harsh and brutal reality of its context sets your
work apart from others in the field. Congratulations on beautifully
striking show.

Your work is totally
awesome!! I watch your website for new additions. I am so very
impressed. Who knew when we were facing the trials of life in the
70's world...where it would all lead. Congratulations!!! from the
bottom of my heart, for your success in capturing so many feelings!

Beautiful work. And sad.
The world needs more artists working towards gay tolerance. ...Take
care and keep working.

I have been looking through
your web site ... slowly ... the last show ' passing through ' looked
like an interesting space ... loved 'life trap wall' and 'pile'...
also loved the hanging kenetic sculpture even on the computer the
mulberry paper looks fantastic ... wish I could have
seen the
show and heard the sound-scape / I have slept in a few mills and
interesting houses in southern France ... I went to the scrap book
series next...... this was gut wrench ... pain ... I was compelled to
view all of the images to the end ... I'm glad I did ... through
those images I was forced to look at and face some of my own pain
head on ... and I thank you for that .

oh...I wanted to ask
you....On your webpage (scrapbook
series), are
all the blacked out people no longer with us? Im pretty sure thats
the case...but was fucking shocked. I was talking to my landlord a
few weeks ago about HIV/Aids. Hes a 28 year old gay man and hasnt
known anyone who has died. I told him to cherish that fact because
some of us have lost more than our fair share.

I love your website! It's
rich with imagery and easy to get around. Kewl! You haven't been snoozing...
I wept
my way through your scrapbook, Sweetie. Thanks for that.

I absolutely loved your
website and your artwork. It expresses so many varying emotions that,
as an artist myself, I feel are so difficult to sometimes express.
Congratulations on such moving work.

Mr. Pillers (a name which I
have no problem spelling correctly). I just found your site during
one of those Internet searches for last name commonality. I just had
to say that I found your art quite nice and very moving. I loved the
installation piece "Boyfriend". I'm certain I'm not using
the correct terminology, however my appreciation is sincere. I look
forward to a trip to San Francisco in the not too distant future and
hope it coincides with one of your shows. I see that you had a reception(
Pride and Prejudice)
this past Friday, I hope it was a success!

Wow...lookin'

I want/ed to see your work
- especially in a gallery setting. Your work has always impressed me
and I do see it as part of a large collection - hopefully ours. We
are still defining art history and I think your work is crucial to
Bay Area Art. I look forward to your next exhibition as I'm sure
you'll have many more -and I will be there. Promise.

I'm sorry I missed the show (Fight
or Flight).
The installation looks great in the pics. I want to see the panels
sometime; it was a little hard reading the words in the photographs.
