Visual
Aid is a non-profit organization that supports and encourages
artists with life threatening illnesses. Through a number of programs
VA effectively enables artists to continue their creative work. The
show explores the theme of danger, threat and survival. It is about
the fragility of human existence, which is heightened for many of our
artists who confront a life-threatening illness. Inspired by stark
awareness of mortality but also ultimately driven by a reaffirmation
of the dignity of life and the celebration of life itself. |
